Fall will always be my favorite time of year. Beautiful colors lit up by the sun, wish I was walking around this tree today!

Herman Melville’s view while he was writing Moby Dick. He saw a whale in these mountains. If you use your imagination, you will too. A very beautiful and peaceful place.

My daughter thought it was like a giant beach ball with fins that eats lettuce! She is 4 now, probably by the time she is 10, she will appreciate these beautiful mermaids!

A beautiful sign of fall that didn’t last very long here in NJ.
Every year it is getting harder and harder to find a good real Christmas tree. I’m not sure why.. maybe weather changes… big storms sweeping through our area… who knows! Lucy is learning how to find the perfect tree, but on this day she was more interested in finding the perfect clover! That is pretty important too 🙂
Winter storm, Athena, barreled through New Jersey and the Northeast this week. More power outages, downed trees, winds, and this time SNOW.. about 7 inches to be exact. Its been a crazy 2 weeks here in NJ. Fingers crossed that this isn’t a preview of how rough our winter will be!
The upside… the snow was beautiful first thing in the morning 🙂
Here in New Jersey, we’re bracing for hurricane Sandy to hit. So far things are quiet, but it soon won’t be! The anticipation is the worst part! Unfortunately, there are still so many beautiful leaves on the trees, that in a couple days will be gone… so here is one last look at some autumn color… stay safe everybody!
