It’s been a few days…

I suddenly realized that I haven’t posted anything since Friday! What have I been doing? Family time on the weekend and now a week at the shore with my daughter and my mother. So, the beach has been monopolizing my time!  Here is a quick shot of the crusader… a local hotel icon..

(hopefully I’ll have some interesting shots to share next week, when I’m back at home!)

A Quote that has become stuck in my head…

“Don’t cry because it’s over, smile because it happened.” – Dr. Seuss

I’m surprised that I haven’t heard this one before! I love this quote. It may become my favorite. You can relate this to any number of things, and in each case, it is 100% true. What does it mean to you?

Highlighted clouds…

Today is gloomy. Lucy and I ran a few quick errands and, luckily, made it home just before the big storm. Thunder and lightening galore! I’m enjoying watching the rain out my back windows, but fingers crossed the day ends with some clouds like these. An exclamation point to the end of the day!

Sunset moon…

It is always a pretty sight to see the moon up in the sky before night falls. This was last night in our backyard. I’m glad I took this last night, because tonight is a completely different scene! Storms galore!

Still working through my sunrise shots…

This is another shot from my early morning walk in Wildwood, NJ. I didn’t realize how many shots I took, until I started doing some processing in Lightroom! This is a shot I really like. The water running up onto the beach wasn’t very interesting and didn’t add much to the image. So, I cropped it a bit to focus more on the angle of the sun rays. I love the line of highlighted clouds. My eyes were drawn to those clouds immediately! What do you think?

Finally…

This pure white feather is beautiful when bathed in the glow of the sunrise. Unfortunately, it  has a mind of its own! It was a bit camera shy, flying up into the air just at the wrong time. I thought I was going to miss this moment when the sun shows off the texture and the highlights. Luckily it sat still just long enough!
