Kitty ying yang…

20100616-100_6840

ย Just a quick snapshot of 2 of the coolest cats taking a nap. (Ichabod (the dark tabby) and Donovan (the light tabby).) I’m really missing Ichabod, and I wonder if Donovan misses his best bud too… ย I think I may have posted this photo before, but it is one of my favorites, so enjoy! ๐Ÿ™‚

Say Hello to Wishy the Lioness…

Continuing to have little time to get out and take some new photos, so I went back into the vault! I have so many photos that have not been posted or even edited, so I’m taking the time to do that whenever I can.

Quotography…#1

“Beauty is a short-lived tyranny.” – Socrates

This is my old man tabby, Ichabod. He is somewhere between 12 and 15 years old (he was a stray so no one knows for sure). To me he is beautiful forever, but now he is starting to show his age. The hair is graying.. his skin is sagging.. he has lost quite a bit of weight.. so this once beautiful cat who ran the house, has started to take a step down in the pecking order around here. Now, our younger/more beautiful cat is large and in charge! This seems to be a common cycle.. in the animal world…

(This photo is part of my submission for a creative collaborative photo project brought to you by Nick Mayo, author of Nick Exposedย . Check out his site to see the full gallery of submissions! There are so many great photos to enjoy, so enjoy!)

Wishy the Lioness..

Here is Wishy.. a roaring lioness… don’t let this pic scare you, she’s the most docile cat I know! Sometimes we think she is part dog ๐Ÿ™‚

Behind the scenes…

While I am running around to get daily chores done, Donovan continues to enjoy his sun spot…but behind the scenes Lucy is focused on her favorite afternoon show (something on Nick Jr.) For now, this is the distance from Lucy that Donovan prefers!

Bringing you back to our house…

Starting a series of “scenery” in our house. Our crazy house filled with animals, adults and a child. Here is one of the more peaceful moments. Donovan searched all over the downstairs until he found the sun. He found it on the back of the sofa and decided to look right into it!
