Nightly Ritual….

Here’s another photo taken just about a year ago. Long Boat Key, Florida. Sunset. Saw these little guys every night for a week. I would bet that they were the exact same birds I saw every night too! A wonderful way to end their day and mine! (Please excuse the burn out/over exposure of the extremely bright sun!)

Hide and seek….

Thinking of Bermuda… how I would love to go back there! The water and the land were equally as beautiful. Here is a partially hidden cabin at our resort ( 9 Beaches). It was a great relaxing, low key spot. Fingers crossed we can go back soon!

I just may have to become a morning person….

This is sunrise at the “real” Jersey shore, (Wild Wood, NJ). The beach here is one of the biggest beaches I have seen. Love the waves, the rides, and of course the sea gulls! This year we’ll be introducing the shore to our little Lucy… I hope she loves the beach as much as her mommy does!

One Year ago this week….

Last year at this time, we were in Long Boat Key, Florida. One of our favorite spots. During that trip we drove up to Ozello for a guided kayak tour, on the search for manatees! Kayaking was a great “hands off” approach to view these beautiful creatures. We saw quite a few all at once… it was all so quick and sudden when they would come to the surface, that I never got my camera out in time to snap a photo of them. While I was disappointed about not getting a picture, I will NEVER forget when one manatee came right up to the side of our kayak and looked me right in the eyes! He was just looking up saying hello thanks for caring 🙂

What a face….

Here is my old man, Ichabod.. spends his days just hanging around the house, well actually he is the boss in this house (all of you fellow cat owners will understand that!). He has the best face… it makes him look older, sleepy or angry depending on the day! (He has Ehlers Danlos syndrome which is a collagen disorder, so his skin is very fragile and hangs.) He is a special cat with a special face 🙂

Quality time….

It’s important for Lucy to have quality time with her mom and dad, but quality time with Frankie is important too! Here we have a furry 3 year old child and a not so furry 8 month old one… here’s hoping they become best of friends!

A Dog’s Life…

ImageFrankie made sure to enjoy the spring like conditions this weekend. A couple long walks, barking at the neighbors, playing keep away in the back yard (Fetch is boring!), and made sure that the WHOLE neighborhood knew about it ! HOWL…. howl….. WOOF!

Is it spring yet?

With the temperature up in the 50’s this weekend (in New Jersey), all I can think of is spring! It is so close and  yet so far away… just imagine what these will be filled with in a few months!
