Butterfly on the ground…

On one of our walks this week, Lucy and I found this butterfly. I almost didn’t see him in the mulch, he was pretty well camouflaged. I took this quick shot and then while I was changing settings on my camera to take another, he flew away. It was a quick precious moment!

Weekly Photo Challenge: Unfocused

A night out in Philadelphia. Definitely feeling a bit unfocused by the end of the night! This was an accidental unfocused shot, but I think it gives the photo a party feeling, even if it was taken in an elevator!

Sunflowers in my kitchen #1….

Don’t you love sunflowers? I do, and I have a few hanging out in my kitchen. I was surprised to find them at the grocery store during spring, but I’ll take them anytime I can get them ๐Ÿ™‚

All in the Family….

Today, I want to share a photo that my father took on a trip to the Grand Canyon in October 2005. This is a view from the North rim (east end) of the canyon. I love this photo. The colors and detail are beautiful, the depth of field is awesome! My parents keep taking the most amazing trips, to places that I hope to one day go, and Dad keeps coming home with wonderful photos! Photos worthy of framing and definitely worthy of blogging!

Man’s Best Friend….

Frankie’s days are pretty laid back.. hanging in the sun… following me and Lucy around the house…. and no matter what, he’s always there when I need him! This is why I love dogs ๐Ÿ™‚

What a face….

Here is my old man, Ichabod.. spends his days just hanging around the house, well actually he is the boss in this house (all of you fellow cat owners will understand that!). He has the best face… it makes him look older, sleepy or angry depending on the day! (He has Ehlers Danlos syndrome which is a collagen disorder, so his skin is very fragile and hangs.) He is a special cat with a special face ๐Ÿ™‚
